Dong Young-bae 동영배 (born May 18, 1988 in Singok-dong, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do), also known by his stage name TAEYANG 태양 or SOL (in Japan), is a South Korean singer, songwritter. He is a member of the South Korean boy group BIGBANG 빅뱅 [Main Vocalist, Main Dancer] and its sub-unit GD X TAEYANG. He made his solo debut on May 22, 2008 with his first mini album Hot.
