BTS STYLE REVIEW: RM: NAMJOON DAY

I thought today would be the prefect day for us to talk about the ultimate look that haunts me.

During one of the performances at the MGA 2018 awards, RM wore a romantic all black look consisted of a collared tunic, distressed waxed jeans, possible Ann Demeulmeester riding boots , and an iconic backless asymmetrical raw hemmed pleated vest layered over the tunic.

Now, the reason why this look haunts me, is because I’ve spent countless hours trying to figure out who makes the vest, and I still have not solved that mystery. Aside from my failed attempts, I loved how the pleated panels draped over RM’s chest were held up by a waist belt, which created the illusion of a dress.

I just think this look is so special and unexpected, especially for a male identifying person, because society is constantly trying to tell us what we can and cannot wear because of our gender identity or gender expressions, so I loved that RM and the stylists were bold enough to commit to a risk, and it turned out beautifully.
