My first time listening to Crayon Pop - the Power Rangers of Kpop, apparently!
Today I'm reacting to Crayon Pop's 'FM' music video and give my honest thoughts and first impressions on the song and Crayon Pop as a group. I have never heard any Crayon Pop song prior to me filming this video or seen any music video or live stage by them, so I went in completely blind.
This has to be one of the cheesiest music videos in the Kpop world. Jesus LOL. I don't complain though. There's good cheesyness and bad cheesyness, and this one definitely belongs more on the good side. It's hilarious but they're also 100% into it, so it actually somehow works.
The song is amazing. A very heavy EDM based song (which is quite normal for its release date) with a super addictive chorus and melody. The rap part was decent. Nothing great, nothing bad. The two rappers of the group seem to be "roleplay rappers" as I like to call them, so basically members that had to fill in the rap position. For that, they're above average for sure though.
All in all, that was a neat first impression on 'Crayon Pop' as a group. If there's more great songs and funny music videos like this one to check out, hit me up and write your requests in the comment section!
