LUNAAAAA! What was THAT? A freaking god tier high note is what that was!

Today I'm reacting to f(x)'s "NU ABO" music video for episode 85 of the "Retro Friday" series and give my honest thoughts and first impressions on the song.

I have not heard such an interesting song, soundscape wise, for a hot minute. This was really just something else. EDM focused like a lot of girlgroup songs at the time, sure. But still: this was on a whole other level of different. They basically created a unique and quirky rhythm with their voices on a weird instrumental tempo like this, creating an even "weirder" rhythm as the outcome.

Rap wise Amber once again did not disappoint. I really think she is the best of the roleplay rappers in Kpop. What I mean with "roleplay rapper" are rappers, that are not necessarily great and are often not used for impressing with their rap, but rather to serve a break to the song and therefere be useful to the group in that way. Amber is one of those rappers I believe - but she does it to the perfect.

And for Luna? Yeah I don't even know where to start. She's an amazing vocalist, singer and artist. She can belt and punch out high notes with ease. She also does well in roleplaying for the f(x) songs for the parts, where she is not belting or dishing out adlibs. So overall: she's great. Very much so. Do I think she is Top 5 vocalists in Korea? I'm not so sure about that. There's Sohyang, Hynn, Lena Park, Haeri, Ailee and even Solji. I do believe in female idols she would probably rank Top 5 though - since some of the names I just mentioned are no idols or never were. But enough of my takes - what do you think? Where does Luna rank when it comes to vocalists in Korea or among female idols?
