If you want to read a (very brief) history of Girl's Day, read below!
Girl's Day debuted under Dream T Entertainment with the song 'Tilt My Head' in July 2010. The group initially had five members: Sojin, Minah, Jihae, Jisun and Jiin. Tilt My Head... flopped. It flopped hard and is generally viewed as one of the worst girl group debuts (no shame if you like the song tho!). Members Jisun and Jiin left shortly after the release of the group's second single and were replaced by new members Yura and Hyeri.
The group finally saw some success with the release of their 2011 track 'Twinkle Twinkle', which peaked at number 5 of the Gaon Chart. Jihae left the group in late 2012 due to personal reasons, solidifying the four-member line up that most know of today. From there, the girls saw more success, particularly with the pivot from the cute/innocent concept to a more mature concept, which saw them receive more publicity (and more controversy but that's to be expected when dealing with sexy concepts).
Girl's Day hasn't officially disbanded, although there has been no new music released since 2017. The girls did get together for their 10-year anniversary in 2020, and perhaps a reunion could be in the future. As to what the girls are doing now, Minah is a solo artist, Yura is an author and actress, and Hyeri and Sojin are both actresses. As for the former members, Jisun re-debuted in a short-lived group called New.F.O as JN in 2012 and is now an independent artist. Jiin re-debuted in the band Bebop (although they are currently inactive and assumed disbanded) in 2014, she is now a trot singer. Jihae seems to have left the entertainment industry altogether, with little being known about what she is doing now.
