Heylo~ So it's been a very tiring week so far because of a lot of workout regimens, exercises, and bboy that I put my body through lately ;-; If you're from instagram you would know that last month I posted a video of me playing the guitar and singing the english version of Psycho. Although I would've loved to cover it with the guitar and vocal I am really new to guitar. I was too worried about the cover BUT then I stumbled upon Tish's (Ace T) guitar cover of Psycho. I fell in love with her guitar covers (LITERALLY BINGEWATCHED ALL OF THEM BECAUSE WHY NOT?!! The musicality is so mesmerizing and the plucking is so just wowww!!!) Tish / Ace is just full of talent and the guitar covers just gives a more emotional / atmospheric vibe to the songs which is just beautiful!!! (I've been listening to Bermuda Triangle :3)

EXPLANATION OF THE PROCESS:
So this key is actually the one sung by Red Velvet themselves. Long story short~ I ride different octaves (including harmonies) throughout the song going -1 octave in some parts and do adlibs that lead to the original key. I also added other vocal ornamentations to also let the beautiful guitar take over the melody and then joining with it again. With acoustics~ I feel like it just gives you a mew sense of freedom with the song that's why I tried to be creative but not TOO crazy with anything. I feel like the best part of this song is the last chorus where every vocal and also the guitar is at its peak. I redid the beginning high note in the original octave (F5) and also during the second se of "Hey now we'll be okay" s there is a little extra something to spice things up XD The rap part also is partly melodical now. During the second prechorus the bg vocals only exists as higher / original octaves which is the "still got symptoms in my heart" I say the only harmonies and bg vocals that were respectively accurate to the original are only the first verse and second part of the first chorus. The first part of the first chorus has some "rhythm check" bg vocals. Aside from these~ there are also a lot I can add on but will almost take two days to explain all of them haha. With this cover I tried to add more "feeling" as I add more drag to the words and some raspy ornaments. I think my favorite part of these category is on the second part of the first chorus when you can hear a bit of a "whistle / squeak" vocal crack in the beginning of the phrase "away" in "I just can't get away"
