프로젝트 그룹 #워너원 의 메인보컬 출신 #김재환 이 이 같은 포부를 밝혔다.

김재환은 20일 서울 광진구 광장동 예스24라이브홀에서 열린 첫 미니앨범 ‘어나더’(#Another) 발매 쇼케이스에서 “‘아이돌’은 어린 친구들의 우상”이라며 “노래 잘하고 음악 잘하는 아이돌이고 싶다”고 말했다. ‘아이돌’은 그룹 활동을 하는 가수들이 목표로 내세우는 경우가 많다. 김재환은 이제 솔로로 나선 상황이다. 김재환은 그러나 “내가 본보기가 됐으면 한다”며 “계속 성장하는 걸 보여주는 가수가 되고 싶고 팬들에게 ‘나도 할 수 있어’라는 생각을 주는 존재가 되고 싶다”고 말했다.

이날 쇼케이스에서 김재환은 안장적인 가창력과 퍼포먼스 실력을 뽐냈다. 국민적 인기를 얻은 워너원 활동 당시에도 메인보컬을 맡을 정도로 보컬에서 강점은 두드러졌던 김재환이다.

이번 앨범의 타이틀곡은 ‘#안녕하세요’다. 명품 발라더이자 히트메이커 임창정과 작곡가 멧돼지, 김재환이 공동작곡하고 임창정이 작가한 팝 R&B 발라드 곡이다. 김재환은 풍부한 감성을 목소리에 담아 자신의 매력을 극대화했다. 김재환은 “어려서부터 싱어송라이터라는 꿈에 대한 욕심이 있었다”며 “나만의 색깔 있는 앨범을 완성하게 위한 작업 과정이 재미있었다”고 말했다. 창법에 대해서는 “그룹 활동을 하면서 냈던 색깔로는 힘들 거라는 생각을 했다”며 “이번 노래에 어울리는 목소리를 찾기 위해 노력했다”며 “임창정 선배님의 노래를 받은 만큼 노래방에서 애창곡이 됐으면 한다”고 덧붙였다.

쇼케이스에서 공개된 ‘안녕하세요’ 뮤직비디오는 배우 김유정이 남자 주인공으로 출연한 김재환과 호흡을 맞춰 ‘현실에서 이뤄질 수 없는 사랑을 받아들이고 아름다운 이별식을 맞이하는’ 연인의 이야기를 연기했다.

이번 앨범에는 또 ‘그렇게 널’, ‘My Star’. ‘Blow Me’, ‘디자이너’, ‘랄라’까지 총 6곡이 수록됐다. 모노트리(이주형, 윤종성, 손고은, NOPARI, GDLO), Famousbro, HYMAX 등 실력파 뮤지션들이 대거 참여해 앨범의 완성도를 높였다.

김재환은 “인기에 치우쳐 활동을 정하기 보다는 내가 하고 싶은 것들, 이루고 싶은 꿈을 위해 달리고 싶다”고 말했다.

"I want to be an idol all my life.”

The title track of the album is 'Hello.' The song is a pop R&B ballad co-produced by Lim Chang-jung, a luxury ballader and hit-maker, composer wild boar and Kim Jae-hwan, and written by Lim Chang-jung. Kim Jae-hwan maximized his appeal by putting a lot of sensibility into his voice. "I had a desire to be a singer-songwriter from a young age," Kim Jae-hwan said. "I enjoyed the process of completing my own colorful album." "I thought it would be hard for me to find a voice that matches this song," he said. "I hope it will be a favorite song in karaoke since I received a song from Lim Chang-jung."

The music video for "Hello," released at the showcase, played the story of a lover who "accepts the love that cannot be made in the real world and meets a beautiful farewell" in collaboration with actress Kim Yoo-jung as the male lead.

The album also features a total of six tracks, including "So You," "My Star," "Blow Me," "Designer" and "Lalla." Many talented musicians such as Lee Joo-hyung (Lee Joo-hyung, Yoon Jong-sung, Son Go-eun, NOPARI, GDLO), Famousbro and HYMAX participated in the event, enhancing the album's completeness.

"I want to run for what I want to do, what I want to achieve, rather than focusing on popularity," said Kim Jae-hwan.
