The artwork is executed by Kyungsook Son, a Seoul South Korea Inteangible cultural Heritage No. 12 Embroidery (called Jasu in Korean) in honor of Fernando Alonso and his winning of the 24 hours of le Mans race 2018. She applied traditional embroidery techniques using 128,700 needle stitches and 1,410 meters silk yarn, all hand-sewn and designed by herself during 150 days in 2019.
The idea to make embroidery work after a picture originally posted on Facebook was conceived by her son Bryan-Kim, a great fan of Alonso.
Kim expects to celebrate and express his admiration for the legendary racer for the legendary racer from it.
